Endowment Fund
Every day, Susila Dharma projects around the world feed the hungry, treat diseases, support families, educate children, protect the environment and build stronger communities. Stable funding is essential to sustain these social and humanitarian services. Making a gift to the Susila Dharma International Endowment Fund assures our ability to provide on-going technical and financial support to worthwhile member projects.
The Susila Dharma International Endowment Fund was created by a resolution of the members of SDIA in 1997 and established through an initial gift in 2000. The Fund was established on the understanding that all donations, initially and in the future, will be held in perpetuity as endowed funds of SDIA. The purpose of the Fund is to support the mission of Susila Dharma International by creating a stable source of income for its work. The Endowment Fund is held and invested by Morgan Stanley, and only the income is distributed. Within the Endowment Fund the Suhadha Scholarship Fund, (named after an early Susila Dharma project in Sri Lanka), is set aside to distribute education awards to children in Asia. Susila Dharma International is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization registered in the USA. Charitable tax number 98-0156249.
